A great start to the day.

Seb said he doesn't always finish his work because he talks.  So today he sat on his own on the mat and finished all 5 sheets today!  If you don't finish work, do you think it is because you talk?  Follow Seb's good example.

Nopera and Brooklyn also completed all their language work today.

Blue Tongue Skink

VisitorsRhianna brought into class today a rather interesting pet.
Izzy Gizzy is the name of her lizard.  He is three months old.  He only eats every second day.  He eats snails.
He could live for about twenty years.(if her cat doesn't eat him)

Can you see his blue tongue?
This lizard was Rhianna's birthday present.

Beekeeper Visit

A special visitor came to our school.  Joseph Burt's uncle Michael Burt who is a beekeeper.

Michael showed us:
  • a hive
  • the tiny entrance to the hive
  • baby bees
  • honey comb
  • his cool protective suit
  • a smoker to daze all the bees
  • the venom when a bee stings!
Beekeeping is a great career option and there might be some future beekeepers in the Rangi Syndicate.
