Beekeeper Visit

A special visitor came to our school.  Joseph Burt's uncle Michael Burt who is a beekeeper.

Michael showed us:

• a hive
• the tiny entrance to the hive
• baby bees
• honey comb
• his cool protective suit
• a smoker to daze all the bees
• the venom when a bee stings!

Beekeeping is a great career option and there might be some future beekeepers in the Rangi Syndicate.
